Jaeger, who sell great quality clothes with prices to match, currently have a much-needed up to 60% off.
I’m not going to lie, some of their styles are more hit than miss (I’m not convinced on the unflattering, little girl-y Chambray dress), but others are real gems – especially the work-appropriate numbers.
The Braid Trim Detail Jumpsuit, £155 (originally £299) and available in sizes 12 and 14, has a flattering cut. Team with a sharp jacket for work, or with heels for an unusual cocktail party choice.
The Faille Prom Dress, £140 (reduced from £180), available in sizes 10 to 16. The skirt skims over any bumps you'd rather hide, and the red would make a statement at the office, or dressed down with brogues (as shown). A stripy version hits the nautical trend that tenaciously returns every summer.
The Ric Rac Print Skirt manages to appear young in a good way, and is only £49 (reduced from £130), available in most sizes.
This Layered Silk Blouse, still available in all sizes, should definitely be a workwear staple. At £99 (originally £260, so that's not a bad discount), it may be pricey but it'll more than earn its keep (it is not styled at its most flattering in this picture). Go khaki for a military look, or dusk for a sweet nude tone. Great teamed with tapered trousers (there are some good value options in the +J Uniqlo sale at the moment).
Finally, if you do nothing else, take a look at their jackets and blazers. With sleek, modernist lines, they are the absolute last word in a subtler style of power dressing.
